These have been asked for way too long! At last … The Lyrics!!
Revolution of Peace:
There’s a black man on the street
Searching for his inner peace
He claims that persecution holds his people down
His tiny voice reflects a Martin Luther, a Malcolm X
A revolution to start some peace and harmony
(Chorus)
Yet You’ll Bow your Head
Scream Christ are you Listening
Hail Mary or Amen
Still I Attribute Peace to Man
I’ve seen words and poems
I’ve seen slums and homes
but the culprit of them all
Is man’s result and fall
There’s a whore who’s bruised raped
She searches for her daughter’s fate
She claims that money will help her daughter eat tonight
Her tiny voice connects, with the way Mary Magdalene accepts
That her life will someday be turned around
(Chorus)
Yes we claim that the shame
That our fathers brought will claim
The souls of the innocent
The Jew or the Muslim
The whites and indians
But I know there’s hope within
Humankind will prevail
There’s a burn that’s in my heart
That will burn and one day start
A revolution to start some peace and harmony
My voice is but one man
But I say know, you know I can
Change one person to believe in equality
(Chorus)

Over one too many cups of coffee and a long chat with my one of my very good friends who is a film producer, we have decided to make a concept music video for the song “Home from Home.” It’s going to be loosely based on the plot of the book “1984,” which was what many of the themes of the songs on my latest album were based upon.
With that said, we already have a working script, but I am thinking that it would be very cool to have some fans and friends to partake in the filming of the video. If you’re interested in being in the video, comment on this post or give me an email: mattotis@yahoo.com
We’ll begin shooting in May in Pittsburgh, PA and Bedford, PA. I have a feeling this is going to be the best video I have made to date. Can’t wait to see the end product!
P.S. Latest Album “Home from Home is now available for the month of April for only $5, enjoy
! Just type in Matt Otis in Amazon, Itunes, CD Baby, or Grab One at My Next Show!

This question was recently asked me in an interview over the weekend. Quite simply, music has been the drive behind my existence. Within this sometimes mundane life, I find that one of the only ways to reveal my individuality and ability to be human is through the expression of art and love. Although the themes of my songs differ in relation to the view of reality which I currently experience (Home from Home, 1984, Revolution of Peace etc…), I find that I am consistently focused on the idea that life can be worthwhile and that our existence is not meaningless if we express some sense of identity. This is why I play music.
Thanks to everyone who has continued to support my music. I cannot wait to see where my path as a musician will go, but I am quite confident that it is moving in the right direction as I am determined to go far.

What’s up everybody? I’ve been hard at work creating new songs, writing papers for my masters degree, and watching LOTS of movies. Here’s my top 5 favorite movie picks for the past year:
Top 5:
1. Up In the Air (fantastic plot/dialogue/acting)
2. Crazy Heart (Jeff Bridges @ his best!)
3. District 9
4. The Hangover
5. Brothers
Honorable Mentions: Where the Wild Things Are, Taken, Up, Hurt Locker(not best picture-worthy in my opinion)
Best New Album of the year: Phoenix – Wolf Gang Amadeus (very fun listen)
I’ve got some very great shows lined up that I hope to see some familiar faces at! This Sunday I’ll be doing a radio show in I.U.P., tune in if your around. If there’s any movies I missed for this year don’t hesitate to message me up not only a music nerd, but a total movie nerd as well: mattotis@yahoo.com
